Questions people ask
What's the minimum order?
24 hats. You can mix hat colors to get there.
Where can the logo go?
There are five spots: the front, the left side, the right side, the back, and just above the strap. Most people put their main logo on the front and use a side or the back for a smaller second logo, a name or a website. All five spots work on mesh too. Stitching on mesh takes more stitches, so it costs a little more.
Is there a setup fee?
Yes, a one-time $45 digitizing fee per logo. That's the work of turning your logo into a stitch file the machine can follow. If you reorder the same logo later, you don't pay it again.
What's 3D puff embroidery?
The stitching goes over a layer of foam, so the logo stands up off the hat. It looks best with bold shapes and thick lettering on a structured cap. Fine detail, small text and soft hats like beanies are better in flat embroidery. 3D puff adds $3 to $5 per hat, depending on how many you order.
Structured or unstructured?
A structured cap has a stiff front that holds its shape, so it's the pick for bigger logos and 3D puff. An unstructured "dad hat" is softer and sits lower, and it suits a smaller, simpler logo.
What kind of logo file should I send?
Send what you have: PNG, JPG, PDF, EPS or SVG. A clean, high-resolution file makes the cleanest stitching. We'll tell you if anything in the design is too small or thin to stitch well.
Do you do patches?
No. We embroider straight onto the hat.
How much do custom hats cost?
It depends on the hat, how many you order, and the size and detail of your logo. Each style above shows a "starting from" price, and a quote gets you the exact number.
Can I bring my own hats?
No. We order all the hats we embroider, so pick one from our catalog or ask us for a suggestion.
How long does it take?
About two weeks after payment. If you have a date in mind, ask before you order and we'll confirm whether we can hit it.
